Neil Walker still a work in progress

Neil Walker

Rookie Pirates second baseman Neil Walker hit .296 and had 66 RBI 110 games. He had a 18-game hitting streak, the longest rookie streak since Rennie Stennett in 1971. He committed seven errors in his 104 starts at second -- a position at which he hardly had played before. With spring training underway, Walker told PiratesDugout.com's George Von Benko that there is still a lot of work to be done.
