The Marauders have scored 553 runs this season, with Dickerson scoring or driving in more than one fourth of the team total. The Poway, CA native leads the team in average, home runs, RBIs, extra-base hits and several other offensive categories. He has batted cleanup in every game he has played in this season.
Dickerson's historic season has been an assault on the Marauder's record books. He ranks in the top five all-time in batting average, RBIs and doubles. He also ranks in the top 10 in runs, games played and home runs.
"I'm honestly a little surprised, but it's a huge honor," Dickerson said about the award. "I can't believe I've gotten this far, especially the way I started the year. It's a real tribute to my teammates because I didn't make it on any personal statistics. It was all RBIs, runs scored, and that comes down to your teammates being on base when you get to hit them in and them hitting you in."
The Marauders are in the hunt for their third straight playoff berth. The team currently sits 2.5 games behind Jupiter in the South Division second half standings.
