The Pittsburgh Pirates have seven players on the Scottsdale Scorpions this year.  Matt Curry, Gift Ngoepe, and Adalberto Santos will represent the Pirates on the offensive side of the game, while Vic Black, Brandon Cumpton, Kyle Kaminska, and Tyler Waldron will all join the Scottsdale pitching staff.

The Scorpions lost 11-3 on Tuesday, and are off to a 2-5 start. Here is how the Pirates prospects fared on Tuesday and overall on the season thus far.

Matt Curry went 1-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout. Curry now has a hit in five of his six games. He started at first base, batting fourth. Curry in six games is hitting .333 with three RBI.

Adalberto Santos went 0-for-3. He started in left field, batting second. Santos in four games is batting .167.

Gift Ngoepe in five games is batting .000.

Right-hander Brandon Cumpton pitched 1.2 innings on Tuesday, allowing two runs on three hits with no walks or strikeouts. Cumpton has given up three earned runs in three innings over three appearances.

Right-hander Kyle Kaminska in one appearance is 0-0 with a 6.75 ERA.

Right-hander Vic Black has appeared in two games and is 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA.

Right-hander Tyler Waldron has made two appearances and is 0-0 with a 4.50 ERA.
