Pirates prospect interview: Phillip Irwin

Right-hander Phillip Irwin suffered a forearm injury during the Arizona Fall League and aggravated it in spring training. He missed only a handful of starts before returning to Altoona, he was promoted to Triple A Indianapolis late in the season. The 25 year old posted a combined record of 8-7 with a 2.83 ERA.'s George Von Benko caught up with Irwin recently.

GVB – Were you pleased with the way you pitched last season? PI – I definitely felt like something clicked this year. I was struggling pretty bad my first few starts in Double A and when it clicked it just clicked.
