Cingrani Got Win in 1st Appearance Since Aug 20

The pennant stretch fever did not take a break for Reds fans Thursday as they came back from a sixteen-inning loss to beat St. Louis for their third win in the four-game series. Tony Cingrani got the start and contributed offensively as well as on the mound while picking up the win.

Fresh off the heels of a sixteen-inning loss Cincinnati sought to win their four-game home series against St. Louis. Their effort was successful as they pulled to within three games of idle Pittsburgh for the NL Central lead with a 6-2 win.
