The 31-year-old Dickerson split the 2013 season between Baltimore and Triple-A Norfolk. He hit .238 (25-for-105) with four home runs and 13 RBI in 56 games with the Orioles, making 17 appearances in left field, six in right field and five in center field. Dickerson also produced a .243 average, two homers and eight RBI in 37 games with Norfolk.
The left-handed hitting Dickerson was originally selected by Cincinnati in the 16th round of the 2003 First-Year Player Draft and made his big league debut with the Reds in 2008. He set career highs in games (97), doubles (13) and stolen bases (11) while batting .275 with Cincinnati in 2009.
Dickerson, who has hit .262 (163-for-623) with 31 doubles, seven triples, 15 home runs and 60 RBI in 314 Major League games, has seen big league action with the Reds (2008-2010), Brewers (2010), Yankees (2011-2012) and Orioles (2013).
The Pirates have now invited 12 non-roster players to big league camp.
