Pirates acquire Worley from Twins

The Pittsburgh Pirates have acquired pitcher Vance Worley from the Minnesota Twins for cash considerations.

Worley, who was outrighted to the minors off Minnesota's roster on Friday, posted a 1-5 mark with a 7.21 earned run average over 10 starts last season. The Twins acquired Worley in a trade with Philadelphia for center fielder Ben Revere last offseason.

Worley's best season came in 2011 when he went 11-3 with a 3.01 ERA. Over 63 games -- 56 starts -- with the Phillies and Twins, Worley is 19-18 with a 4.05 ERA.
