Interview - Bucs Sixth Rounder Jim Negrych

Jim Negrych is the first player drafted by the Pirates from Pitt since current Oakland A's managerKen Macha was taken in the sixth round in 1972. Earned third-team All-America honors from Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball as a junior this year at the University of Pittsburgh. Hit .396 with 11 home runs and 60 RBI this year.
