Pirates veteran Joe Randa is batting .383 with one home run and nine RBI since coming of the disabled list on June 13. He lost his third base spot to sizzling Freddy Sanchez and is on the trading block as the trade deadline approaches, but he likes the core of young players in Pittsburgh.
