The Pirates purchased the contract of 33-year old right-hander Britt Reames from Indianapolis on August 11. Reames went 4-2 with a 2.84 ERA in 13 appearances (11 starts) with Indianapolis. He previously pitched in 95 big-league games with the A's, Expos and Cardinals, including two relief appearances with Oakland in 2005. Reames has made two brief appearances since being brought up.
