Pirates left-hander Paul Maholm has settled into a nice groove in the second half of the season. The 24-year old raised his record to 6-10 as he battled through a couple of shaky innings to defeat Houston 5-3 on Thursday night. He has gone at least six innings in seven of his eight starts since the All-Star break.
