Pirates Cautious with Lincoln

For the second time this season the Pittsburgh Pirates have shut down right-handed pitcher Brad Lincoln.

Lincoln, the number four overall pick by the Pittsburgh Pirates in June's amateur draft, had one outing in the Florida Instructional League. "He threw 19 pitches and went two innings," Pirates' director of player development Brian Graham said. "He threw the ball well, a good sinker. He had a nice outing - the velocity was 90 to 93 mph.
