Freddy Sanchez paced the National League in hitting last season with a .344 average. He was in town for PirateFest and is excited about the club's chances for the upcoming season.

GVB-- You had a fantastic year at the plate last season - any pressure to try and match those numbers - it's hard to match numbers like that?

FS-- I don't set goals - I don't do anything like that. If I say I want to go hit .330 or .340 I feel like that's limiting myself. What not hit higher? I don't really set goals - I just want to hit as good as I can, as hard as I can, hit as high as I can and play the best defense that I can and play as hard as I can. Hopefully the numbers will take care of itself.
