Lefty Tom Gorzelanny retained a spot in the Pirates' starting rotation even though he has had an erratic spring. Gorzelanny has a bloated ERA of 9.45. In 20 innings, he's allowed 24 hits and 14 walks. Despite the problems Pirates' manager Jim Tracy is sticking with the young left-hander. PiratesDugout.com's George Von Benko spoke with Gorzelanny recently at spring training.

GVB-- Are you doing okay healthwise - is the arm okay?

TG-- I think I'm there, healthwise and arm-wise. My arm strength is there. There are some little things I'm going to keep working on. But come the beginning of the season, I'll be there. I'm going to get guys out and do whatever I can to win ballgames.
