Eldred Glad To Be Back

Brad Eldred, who missed most of last season after left thumb surgery, hit .303 with six home runs and 13 RBIs in 66 at-bats this spring and made the Pirates roster. He got his first start of the season in right field on Sunday, and responded with a home run and a double with two RBI. PiratesDugout.com's George Von Benko spoke with Eldred recently.

GVB-- It had to feel good to get in there and get a couple of hits?

BE-- Yeah, it was nice to get a start and obviously to be productive and help out in a win. It's a good feeling to be able to contribute like that the first time out.

To here the rest of George Von Benko's interview with Pirates' outfielder Brad Eldred.
