Sanchez Heating Up

Freddy Sanchez

Defending National League batting champion Freddy Sanchez is starting to heat up at the plate. After batting .224 in April, Sanchez is hitting .331 in May and has raised his batting average to .292. PiratesDugout.com's George Von Benko spoke with Sanchez prior to Tuesday night's game with San Diego.

GVB-- Do you sense improvement from when you came back to the team in April - it looks like you are making better contact.

FS-- You know a little bit, but I'm nowhere near where I want to be and that's very frustrating. I've just got to take it day by day and take it for what it's worth and just keep working.
