Moss Slump Opens Door For Young

Pirate outfielder Brandon Moss is in danger of losing his starting job in right field. Moss is mired in his second major hitting slump of the season, he is in the midst of a 0-15 stretch that has seen his batting average dip to .243 with only one home run and 14 RBI.

Moss has been given opportunities to break out of the funk.He was benched for the third game in a row on Tuesday night in Minnesota and will be out of the lineup again on Wednesday night, as the Twins are starting a left-handed pitcher.
