Lincoln, Alvarez Named to Futures Game

Class AAA Indianapolis right-hander Brad Lincoln and Class AA Altoona third baseman Pedro Alvarez, two of the top prospects in the Pirates' farm system, have been selected to play for the United States team in the All-Star Futures Game on July 12 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.

Both players were recently promoted with Lincoln moving up from Altoona and Alvarez moving up from high Class A Lynchburg.

The Futures Game pits the top propsects in baseball in a U.S.-vs.-The World format.
