Pirates' first baseman Adam LaRoche is still not hitting on all cylinders. Coming into action on Thursday night he is batting .217 with eight home runs and 37 RBI. PiratesDugout.com's George Von Benko caught up with LaRoche earlier this week.

GVB-- Adam the club had a rough weekend in New York and suffered some defensive and base running lapses. You can't be happy with some of the mistakes?

AL-- No not at all, and everybody will tell you there's no excuse for that. We'll be the first ones to say that's something - I don't care if you're playing the worst team in the league or the best - the mental stuff and really even the physical errors have got to be kept to a minimum. It's just magnified when you play a team like the Yankees - they're going to take advantage of the walks, they're going to take advantage of errors and you can't expect to win doing that.
