“I threw today and did some dry swings,” Doumit reported before Sunday’s game with the Detroit Tigers.
Doumit was asked if he will have another CT scan of his wrist.
“That’s a good question,” Doumit said. “I don’t know if I’ll even have one - as far as I’m concerned I was cleared by the doctors two days ago to go ahead and resume baseball activity, and it’s a progression and I’m going to ease into it. A couple of days 45 feet, a couple at 60 feet throwing and progress out to 150 feet. The same with dry swings - dry swings now and a couple days hit off a tee, a couple days flips and then batting practice. I’m getting there.”
Doumit isn’t sure about a timetable for his return to the lineup.
“I think it’s going to depend on how long my rehab assignments going to be,” Doumit explained. “But as of right now I know I’m on a two week throwing and hitting program and we’ll see where we go from there.”
Is catching bullpen sessions.
“I'm antsy. I'm anxious to get back.", said Doumit.
