Right-handed pitcher Yoslan Herrera defected from Cuba in July of 2005. Back on the mound last season after missing two years the 27-year old started slow, but wound up posting a 6-9 record with a 4.59 ERA in 25 starts at Double-A Altoona. This year at Altoona he is off to a 1-3 start with a 3.30 ERA. PiratesDugout.com's George Von Benko spoke with Herrera.
