LaRoche Frustrated By Trip To DL

Adam LaRoche		By George Von Benko PiratesDugout.com Date: Jul 30, 2008 The Pirates placed first baseman Adam LaRoche on the 15-day disabled list because of a strained intercostal muscle that runs through the ribs on the right side. He is eligible to come off the DL on August 12. It was a bitter pill for LaRoche to swallow, because he has been on a tear - in July batting .390 with six home runs and 18 RBI. PiratesDugout.com's George Von Benko spoke with LaRoche.
