Brian Friday was selected in the third round of the 2007 baseball draft out of Rice. Last season at Lynchburg he batted .287 with two home runs and 29 RBI. This year he has played only six games because of an inner ear infection and was placed on the 7-day DL. He was hitting .500 at Altoona with one homer and four RBI. PiratesDugout.com’s George Von Benko caught up with Friday recently.
