Rudy Owens, a 28th-round selection of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the June 2006 draft has been lights out for the Class A West Virginia Power. Entering play on Saturday the 6-3, 22-year-old left-hander has posted an 8-1 record with a sparkling 2.05 ERA. PiratesDugout.com’s George Von Benko caught up with Owens recently.
