Pirates Prospect Interview: Tim Alderson

Right-hander Tim Alderson, the pitcher the Pirates received from the Giants for Freddy Sanchez, has gotten off to a great start with the Double A Altoona Curve. He tossed six-no hit innings allowing just one base runner in his second start in a Curve uniform on August 7. The 20-year old is 2-0 with a 0.77 ERA with the Curve. PiratesDugout.com's George Von Benko spoke with Alderson recently.

GVB -- What was your initial reaction when you heard you had been traded to Pittsburgh?
